Hay y'all! So this week I've been in a pretty hardcore paint-my-nails-every-day mood, but a couple nights ago I put on Zoya - Malia, another Zoya from my BOGO haul, and I couldn't bear the thought of taking it off the next day. I don't think I've ever loved a creme polish like I love this color.
My camera has a really hard time with purples (like a lot of cameras). Malia is a little more red-leaning and less blue than these pictures show, but man, you can still tell how EFFING PRETTY it is. The accent nail is China Glaze - Fairy Dust, another all-time favorite of mine. Just look at those teeny holographic sparkles.
Last night I was ready to do something new to my nails, but as I mentioned, just could not bring myself to take this color off. So I decided to combine the best of both worlds, and did some new designs on top of my day-old manicure!
I started with some teeny little flowers but I didn't like the way they were coming out so I quickly removed them (a perk of having a thick layer of topcoat on already - you can take off designs... to an extent anyway) and started over.
I didn't really know what I wanted to do. I only knew the colors I wanted to use, and then I started thinking about a funky sort of half-frame and this is what resulted!
I did this design using only, as usual, my trusty little mid-length striper brush with half its little bristles cut off. I don't think I would even know how to use anything else at this point. The pink is Zoya - Shelby, which is ANOTHER polish from my Zoya BOGO haul (are you guys getting tired of me saying that yet? I still have four I HAVEN'T EVEN POSTED ABOUT YET HAHAHA!). The turquoise is OPI - Mermaid's Tears.
I considered doing the same design on the Fairy Dust accent nail, but then I was like, you know what would make this glitter better? More glitter.
The gradient is done with Spoiled by Wet n' Wild - Trust Fund Baby. SQUARE glitter, be still my heart.
Alrighty, that's all for today! Special announcement: all manicures henceforth shall prominently feature Zoya Malia. Forever. And ever.

Beautiful! I would have done the accent nail as all of mine :)
