Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! I have another swatchy post for you guys today. I'm sorry I haven't posted any nail art in a few days - my brother and best friend just moved home from California and I haven't seen them in 6 months so I've been spending all my free time with them since they got home! I'll be getting back in the nail game ASAP though :)
This is China Glaze Agro with a pointer finger accent of China Glaze Luxe & Lush, both from the Hunger Games collection!
I got these on clearance a couple months ago and I hadn't used Agro yet, and whenever I paint my nails just a plain color I always try to use an untried, so I pulled it out the the other night when I got started on my nails too late to want to do anything fancy with them. It looked so pretty in the bottle but the first coat was really brushstrokey and I was worried that it would look crappy once I finished.
Luckily, two coats evened everything out really nicely! I did have to be careful with my painting so I wouldn't get brush strokes, but it wasn't too bad. This color is so pretty on the nails - there's like a golden flash sometimes that doesn't show up in the bottle at all. It's really growing on me!
I thought about doing an accent nail or two in Luxe & Lush but decided against it. Then I accidentally managed to smudge my pointer finger AFTER I'D ALREADY TOPCOATED so rather than re-doing it I just piled on some flakies! The accent nail is two thick coats of Luxe & Lush. I love the way it looks when it's thick like this... like crushed shells.
That's all I have for y'all today! What do you think of this combo? I wasn't sure about it at first but I ended up really loving it!

Nice nails!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love the Luxe & Lush colour - so hypnotising!
ReplyDeleteThat Luxe & Lush nail looks like part of a Monet painting. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteAgro is one of my fave colors from the Hunger Games Collection.
