Hi friendsies! Tonight I have some swatches to show y'all that I'm seriously SO excited about. About a week ago I got a package from Super Black Lacquers with seven gorrrgeous polishes in it. I've already used one of the cremes for nail art, and I'll be doing a swatch post soon with the other cremes and some more nail art... but tonight I'm going to show you guys the glitters!
Sorry I was too lazy to find a better backdrop for that bottle shot, haha. I didn't anticipate using it but it turned out so pretty I couldn't help myself. From left to right the colors are HBIC, Sweet Tooth, and Drunk Dial. Can we just take a minute to talk about the packaging? The bottles are almost identical to American Apparel bottles - I LOVE their size and shape. And the logo design is so on point!
The first polish I have to show you was my immediate favorite: Super Black Lacquers Drunk Dial.
Just. Look. At this. Polish. Drunk Dial has a plum/magenta-colored base filled with copper, gold, and holographic hex glitters. This swatch is three easy coats plus topcoat. I wore this for a day and I couldn't stop looking at it. The way the color buries the glitter with each subsequent layer just KILLS ME. It's so amazing and the formula was wonderful.
The next one surprised me with how much I fell in love with it: Super Black Lacquers Sweet Tooth.
Sweet Tooth is a true purple jelly base with multicolored and holo hex glitter and teal microglitter. The formula was a little tricker with this one than with the other two because it has about twice as much glitter in it, but I still had no issues. I used two coats of topcoat to completely smooth it out. This one is so fun! I swatched this one and the next one on the same night and I couldn't bring myself to take this off immediately - I took a swatching break and wore it during dinner before I could bring myself to remove it.
And finally, my surprise favorite out of these three: Super Black Lacquers HBIC.
You guys. I'm not kidding you, when I put this polish on my jaw literally dropped. It's gorgeous in the bottle, but I was not EVEN prepared for how pretty it would be when I put it on. HBIC is a blue-purple jelly filled with holographic gold glitter. It's more purple and a bit richer in real life - the bottle shot at the top of this post is the actual color. With each coat, the glitter from the previous coat gets buried a little to create the same jelly-sandwich-in-a-bottle look of the other two. Because these glitters are holographic, they're constantly sparkling and they just make the whole polish look amazing. I used three coats here plus one coat of topcoat and had no issues whatsoever with the formula.
These pictures literally do no justice to how pretty this polish is in person.
Super Black Lacquers can be purchased on their website and followed on Facebook and Twitter. The brand is newer, but I anticipate that it's going to become extremely popular extremely soon. The packaging, the quality, and the COLORS... well, I think you guys can tell how I feel about these. If you want some of them (YOU DO) I'd get on that ASAP!
What do y'all think of these?
